LSI offers a diverse portfolio of tributary aggregation devices aimed at processing data and voice into PDH and SONET/SDH transmission protocols.
Our aggregation devices provide industry leading integration, with respect to the number of channels and links supported in each device and to the variety of line types and protocol supported.
LSI mappers are supported by NComm software solutions, please visit the NComm web site for more information.

The Hypermapper device family integrates the SONET/SDH section, line, path, and tributary termination functions with M13/E13 multiplex functions and the primary rate framing function. The devices interface to multiple
STS-3/STM-1 electrical signals or to an STS-12/STM-4 to allow for terminal or add/drop applications.

The Hypermapper Lite is a version of the Hypermapper SOC that supports 622/155 Mbits/s SONET/SDH x DS3/EE3.

The LLP is a member of the LSI family of multifunction link layer processors. The link layer processor devices support three protocol paths: AAL1 SAR, ATM TC/IMA, and ML/MC/PPP HDLC.

The LM device integrates a dual integrated link layer processor, STS-3/12/STM-1/4 SONET/SDH mapper, and M13/E13 device optimized for RNC and Media Gateway applications.

The Superframer provides a versatile interface for DS3 and DS1/J1/E1 applications. This device can be used in full termination of up to 28 DS1s, 28 J1s, or 21 E1s. Typical application for this device would be DS3 <-> DS1/E1/DS0 or DS1/E1 <-> DS0.

The SONET/SDH Supermapper device family integrates the SONET/SDH section, line, path, and tributary termination functions with M13 multiplex function and the primary rate framing function. The devices interface to an STS-1/STM-0 electrical signal or to an STS-3/STM-1 to allow for modular growth in terminal or add/drop applications.

The SONET/SDH Supermapper Lite device integrates the SONET/SDH section, line, path, and tributary termination functions with M13 multiplex function and the primary rate framing function. The devices interface to an STS-1/STM-0 electrical signal or to an STS-3/STM-1 to allow for modular growth in terminal or add/drop applications.

The Ultraframer provides a versatile interface for DS1/J1/E1, DS3/E3, DS2/E2, and DS0/J0/E0 applications. The Ultraframer device integrates M13/E13 multiplex/demultiplex functions and the primary rate framing function.

The Ultramapper device family integrates the SONET/ SDH section, line, path, and tributary termination functions with M13/E13 multiplex functions and the primary rate framing function. The devices interface to an STS-3/STM-1 electrical signal or to an STS-12/STM-4 to allow for modular growth in terminal or add/drop applications.

The SONET/SDH Ultramapper All Inclusive device integrates the SONET/SDH section, line, path, and tributary termination functions with M13/E13 multiplex functions and the primary rate framing function. It interfaces to an OC-3/STM-1 optical signal or to an OC-12/STM-4 to allow for modular growth in terminal or add/drop applications.

The SONET/SDH Ultramapper Full Transport device integrates the SONET/SDH section, line, path, and tributary termination functions with M13/E13 multiplex functions and the primary rate framing function. It interfaces to an OC-3/STM-1 optical signal or to an OC-12/STM-4 to allow for modular growth in terminal or add/drop applications.

Ultramapper II defines a family of highly versatile, system-on-a-chip (SOC) solutions which integrate SDH/SONET section, line, path, and tributary termination functions with M13/E13 multiplex functions, grooming/time slot assignment, and primary rate (DS1/E1/J1) framing.
